The Estate today
Lulu Zhang and Justin Zeng purchased the Lillydale Estate property from McWilliams Wines in 2012, and have been painstakingly restoring, replanting and redeveloping the vineyard ever since.
The property is now planted entirely to:
Chardonnay 2.25 hectares - Clones P58, I10V5 and St Huberts and
Pinot Noir 3 hectares - Clones MV6 and 667, with a further 3 hectares to include Abel and Pommard clones, to be completed by 2027.
The original 'St Huberts' clone of Chardonnay, thought to be the only vines remaining, are currently undergoing genetic clarification as part of the Wine Yarra Valley iconic vine project.
The Estate's winery is not in operation.
